Privacy notice

Bit Movers is a trading name of Byte Dev Limited, company no. 16687412. This notice covers what happens to information you give us through this website.

What we collect

When you use the enquiry form we collect your name, email address, company, and anything optional you add, such as your role or phone number, along with what you tell us about your systems. We also record when you sent it, the page you came from, and basic technical details (IP address and browser) to protect the form from abuse.

How we use it

Only to reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to deliver the work. We don't add you to marketing lists or share your details with anyone else. Our email runs on Microsoft 365, so messages between us pass through Microsoft under its own terms, as they would with any mail provider.

Where it lives and for how long

Enquiries are stored on infrastructure we control in the UK. If we don't end up working together, we delete your enquiry within 12 months. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

Our web crawler

Our crawler, BitMoversBot, links to a page about it from the user agent it sends. That link carries a short reference for the site it was crawling. If you follow it we record the reference, the time and your browser's user agent, so we know which site's logs it came from. No IP address and no cookies. The crawler page explains what it collects and how to block it.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts are served from this site, so loading a page doesn't tell anyone else you visited.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
